Lash addiction

In May 2014 I took a course on semi-permanent eyelash extensions (GlamLashes, L-Beauty) and have been doing lash extensions since then. Additionally, I went through a short check-up course with JB Lashes in Sept 2014, hence I've got two eyelash extensions certifications!

Currently I do classic eyelash extensions using premium mink lashes (synthetic) and only medical grade glue. At the moment I have JB Lashes, Glamlashes and Minuripsmed extensions in stock. Some time in the near far future I will also train to do volume lashes.

Love at first cut

In the fall of 2014 I went to private hairdresser’s school Hairclub Esa Kokko in Helsinki Finland and learned from the master himself. The studies lasted only 5 months, but it was enough time to learn good basics in cutting and color. After I ’graduated’ I did a 7 weeks training period at Yläkerta Salonki in Helsinki and was mentored by one of the best hair dressers I know! I now feel comfortable styling both men and women’s hair.

My background...

Before hair styling and eyelash extensions, I did a 7-years-long 'career' in office. I’m a BBA (bachelor of business administration), graduated from Laurea University Espoo in 2007 and since then worked in an office. Accounting, credit management, finance controlling.. Seven years of debit and credit, hundreds of emails, booking templates, endless excel workbook jungles, reports, always fire under my bum, meetings, projects, hurry, hurry hyrry, deadline, hurry, stress and then that all mighty SAP. Know what? Couldn't do it anymore. Murr!

You only live once, some wise men / women say, and you got have the courage to do what you want and enjoy. So finally in 2014, I took a hammer in my pretty hand and put my life into renovation.

Why such a dramatic change in career?

I’ve always (always!) loved doing stuff with my hands. Arts & crafts and sewing was my strongest subjects from elementary to high school. I still enjoy drawing and doing different kinds of handicrafts at home. I guess I never appreciated those qualities myself though – I thought I needed a real job in an office, I thought that was what adults do. Now for the first time in my life, I do what I love and enjoy.
